The Dongguk inclined elevator was installed for the first time in the Busan area with 190 old stairs connecting Jeungsan Park by An, Yong-Bok Busanpogaehang Cultural Center.
The elevator operates 1 section measuring 36m and 2 sections measuring62m each, and can ride up to 13 people (900kg) at a speed of 60m per minute.
Inside of the elevator, a CCTV camera and a cooling and heating system is installed with a triple system in preparation for safety accidents. The whole glass offers a wide view that’s convenient and safe. Elevator World, Inc., that selects the best and most excellent elevators annually among all inclined elevators installed throughout the world, has been selected as the winner in the Inclined Elevator category of the 2017 World Project of the Year.
