Detailed Description
It was the first general hospital in Busan built in 1922, five stories above ground and one underground floor. It was an important medical institution in the region along with Busan Buip Hospital and Railway Hospital.
It was built in the form of modernism based on the functionalism of the martial art form during the Japanese colonial rule and was used for various purposes such as hospitals, restaurants, officers quarters, security office, and consulate of the Republic of China.
The first and second floor still preserves and holds the old structure and form in the walls, doors, and stairs. It is an important building to see modern hospital building’s space structure.
