Detailed Description
This is a Japanese style wooden house that was built in 1925 with its second construction (in 1931, after Independence Day). Exterior windows and decorations are detailed and fancy with its original form still well preserved. Specially, pillars, foundation stones, rafters, precise making of the 2nd story’s balcony, window forms, intricateness of the lattice’s form and decorating the pillar by bending the copperplates was seldom seen at the time in general Japanese style homes and can easily tell that it was a luxury style home. Interior spaces of the building, architectural design, and garden structure are all high in quality with it being still well preserved and is crucial for the study of the Japanese colonial period’s house history and life history
