Detailed information
You cannot talk about Busan without Nakji (small octopus) Alley or Nakji without ‘Jobang Nakji’. ‘Jobang’ is a word more familiar to us as Nakji comes from the abbreviated ‘JoseonBangjic’ that was in Beomildong during the Japanese Colonial period. The Iclerine Festival is being held in former JoseonBangjic, a spot considered to be the symbol of modern Busan. The motive for this festival is to revitalize the district’s local commercial area and to regain its glorious former reputation. This year’s festival will be carried out with the slogan ‘Jobang Salahitne! Da Onna’ (Meaning, “what a live Jobang, All come out”). In this festival, along with a photo exhibition presenting pictures of former Jobang, a street fashion parade, Jobang food tasting, romantic street for 8090 generations, Gukak (Korean classical music), acoustic guitar performance, flash mob, and many more performances will appear.
