Silsangsa Shinjungdo has special features of stable picture compositions, character depictions,

various patterns of strong decorations on clothes, clearly produced dates and is one of the best examples of traditional icons and styles among the first half of the 20th century’s Shingjungdo. Particularly, this has been rated as a highly valuable cultural asset for the research of Shinjungdo with it being co-produced by the monk Wanho who left clear paintings centered around Bum-uh-sa in the first half of the 20th century and Monk Wulju Dukmoon who owns the very first Danchungjang as the major intangible cultural asset.​
