Building a Dong-gu Full of Hope for the people
Building a Dong-gu Full of Hope for the people
have a deep sense of pride and ownership.
With love and adoration for Dong-gu,
I ask for your active cooperation and support.
Thank you.
From even the very earliest times,
commerce has been well developed on the site of Dong-gu,
thanks to active trade and commerce with
foreign countries through the port located in
the Dong-gu area.
The full view of the Busan port looking from
the Monorail becomes a new specialty of the Ibagu Road.
The 168 stairs is the only road that connects the mountain’s upper village and lower village of Choryang-dong.
Being the only special district, Chinatown in Korea,
Busan Donn-gu Choryang-dong’s Chinatown
had Qing dynasty consulate in 1884 and the largest number of Chinese.
‘Ibagu’means ‘story’ in Gyeongsnag-do dialect and
this is the story that tells our modern history.
Only the brick fence being left alone today,
The Joseon Tongsinsa History Museum is
an ideal place for learning the history supplied with multimedia
that shows the story of goodwill missions sent intermittently by the Joseon Dynasty to Japan 12 times.
