|Person name||Kim, Min-Bu, The Genius Poet|
Kim Min-Bu was a genius who surprised the world by winning at the annual spring literary contest with the poem ‘Bamui pyenryuk’ and the traditional Korean three-verse poem ‘Kyunyul.’
A high school student winning a public literary contest was unheard of.
After graduating from the Art University of Sorabol and the University of Dongguk in 1962, due to economic struggles, he worked as an active broadcast writer, which had nothing to do his genius,
and left behind many eccentric behavior stories and anecdotes.
For his major works apart from his Korean verse poems are ‘Hangahri’, ‘Godo’, ‘Giruhgi’, Opera’s scrip ‘Wonhyodaesa’, and the 2nd poetry book ‘Nabuwa sae’.
He was good all-around in poems and traditional Korean three-verse poems.
Especially, his poems are overlaid with strong musicality in overall poems since they are following a traditional Korean verse form and rul. Busan MBC’s longest running radio ‘Jagalchiahjimae’s first ever PD was Kim,
Min-Bu. Jagalchiahjimae is the longest running program nearly over 40 years until now.
