Detailed information
Choryang Ibagu refers to Busan Choryangdong in Busan dialect.
Choryangdong, Busan port which opened during Japanese colonial periods, has been the refugees’ living area since Korea’s independence. From 1950~60 to the rise of the Industrial Revolution in 1970~80, a mountain sloped village road with ordinary people’s diverse stories is hidden in its place. You can still feel the lives of 50 years ago for there were not many developments and it is easy to spot ragged houses and its traces in places. Reminiscing experiences and memories of the 1960s to the 1980’s on Ibagu Street at the Choryang Alley Festival will be held at Choryang Traditional Market, Choryang Galbi Alley, and the whole area of Choryang Ibagu. We invite you all to come by.
